Welcome to Leopard’s View

Leopard’s View is a unique place, and is arguably the most exciting yet relaxing game lodge in the entire big-five Kruger Park region.

There are several things that make Leopard’s View Game Lodge special: exclusive yet affordable high-quality accommodation; part of the big-five Greater Kruger Park; owner-managed and, not least, a fabulous location in the bush.

Leopard’s View Game Lodge, offering affordable accommodation within a private game lodge in Limpopo, South Africa is owned by Neil and Ann Kern. We took over the this private game lodge in the Balule Nature Reserve, which is part of the Greater Kruger Park, in May 2008, when it was just 10 years old.

We have a long association with South Africa and with the Lowveld and its wildlife in particular. The dream of living and working in this area began while doing research in the Kruger National Park in 1976, so when Leopard’s View became available we seized the opportunity.

Most important, though, we personally look after you when you stay with us and, along with our staff, make sure that you leave sharing our passion for this special place in the bush

Leopard’s View is indeed a very special place:

On the one hand Leopard’s View Game Lodge enjoys easy access to major roads and regional airports and is conveniently close to the Kruger National Park and other regional attractions.

On the other hand the Lodge is situated deep in the mixed bushwillow woodlands of Balule Nature Reserve, which is part of the Greater Kruger Park. This means unspoilt bush, with its peace and tranquillity. and that the full range of wildlife is here, from the so-called ‘big five’ to all the other species of larger and smaller mammals. The bird life is also superb, with at least 250 species recorded in the area.

At Leopard’s View Game Lodge you won’t feel fenced in and cut off from the surrounding bush.

In places there is little or nothing separating you from the bush and, from time to time, wildlife does come very close to the terrace, affording marvellous photo opportunities and a real sense of satisfaction and excitement.

Evening light on the Escarpment	On a large scale, from the top of our hill we have magnificent views of the massive escarpment some 25 km away. On a smaller scale, Leopard’s View Game Lodge is situated on a hillside overlooking its own well-established waterhole in the valley below. This waterhole is something of a hotspot for wildlife and the valley is a regular corridor for animal movement. In addition, Leopard’s View Game Lodge is a small establishment. We have three thatched, en suite, authentic African-style rondavels, accommodating a maximum of 6 adult guests. The Lodge therefore represents a genuinely affordable but exclusive bush experience.	*Elephant at Waterhole*
